2009 Marks the 15th Annual,
Wesak Festival in Mount Shasta, CA
WE WILL BE CELEBRATING OUR 14TH ANNUAL WESASK FESTIVAL IN MT. SHASTA FROM MAY 8 TO 10, 2009. IF YOU MISSED THE 2008 EVENT – YOU CAN BUY THE MOVIE!
Wesak is the celebration of Buddha's birth & enlightenment, & in some traditions also his death. Wesak is named for the legendary convergence of Buddha, Christ and other Masters in the hallowed Wesak Valley in the Himalayas during the first full moon in May. It is said that Wesak is that time in which the Christ gathers the entire Spiritual Hierarchy together in meditation to invoke the forces of Shambhalla. The Buddha, representing those forces, appears and blesses humanity.
This event, which even new attendees now fondly call a spiritual "family reunion," takes place for the 15th consecutive year in the lap of magical Mount Shasta – a place some consider "the holiest place outside the actual Wesak Valley." Mount Shasta is a small but international community. Past visitors to Wesak have come from Japan, Australia, Canada, Mexico, South America, England, France, Germany and all over Europe. The mountain itself is considered one of the 7 sacred mountains in the world and attracts many visitors in its own right. Toll Free 888-926-9255 530-926-5500.
